Services
My aim is to enable families and friends to create the right ceremony to celebrate the life of a loved one who has died, whatever the circumstances.
Saying a final farewell to a loved one is probably one of the biggest challenges we can face in life. It will be an intensely personal experience for you and your family and a funeral is a hugely important first step in your grief journey.
My role as an independent and professionally trained Funeral Celebrant is to listen to your memories, your joys and your grief, before putting together and leading a funeral ceremony to celebrate and honour the life of your loved one. The funeral service will reflect your wishes and give voice to the memories and needs of family and friends at this uniquely difficult time. I will meet with you to discuss the ceremony in detail, provide guidance on any readings, poems, music or songs you might wish to include. I will write a fitting tribute based on what you share with me, if you require it.
Additionally, we can discuss which, if any, family or friends you might like to speak in different parts of the service or I can lead the whole way through. We can also decide what you (or others) want to say to make the funeral a personal and memorable occasion for family and friends.
Once I have prepared a draft version of the service words, I will send it to you for you to read through and make any alterations that you wish. In that way you will know what will be said on the day. I will lead the ceremony and assist anyone else who you have asked to speak. Together we will ensure a fitting celebration of the life of your loved one.
